Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using YieldSentinel ("the Service") at yieldsentinel.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by Pascal Chartre ("we," "us," "YieldSentinel"), based in British Columbia, Canada.

2. Description of service

YieldSentinel is a browser-based operational analytics platform that processes CSV and Excel exports from ERP and accounting systems to produce operational loss diagnostics, margin analysis, and cost variance insights.

Outputs are operational estimates and diagnostics based on the data you upload. They are not audited financial statements, accounting-grade reports, or professional advisory opinions. Always verify material findings with your accountant, financial advisor, or relevant professional before making significant business decisions.

3. Free tier and trial

YieldSentinel offers a permanently free tier with the following limitations:

• 2 CSV uploads per month (resets monthly)
• Maximum 100 rows per upload
• View-only results — exports require a paid plan
• Yield Loss Analytics module only

Paid plans (Starter and Finance) include a 7-day free trial. No credit card is required to start a trial. After 7 days, access to paid modules requires an active subscription. Your trial start date is recorded when you first enter your email address.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor. Prices are in USD:

• Starter: $179/month
• Finance: $299/month
• Advisor: $699/month

Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through your Lemon Squeezy customer portal or by emailing pchartre@yieldsentinel.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Refund policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first paid month if you are unsatisfied with the Service. To request a refund, email pchartre@yieldsentinel.com within 7 days of your first charge. After 7 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful business purposes. You must not:

• Upload data you are not authorized to use or that belongs to a third party without permission
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Use the Service to process data on behalf of clients without an Advisor plan subscription
• Circumvent trial enforcement by clearing browser storage to restart trials repeatedly
• Share account credentials or trial access with unauthorized users
• Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service

7. Data and privacy

Your uploaded data is processed entirely in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on what limited personal data (email address, plan status) we do collect and how we use it.

8. Intellectual property

The YieldSentinel platform, including its software, design, analysis logic, and content, is the intellectual property of Pascal Chartre / YieldSentinel. You retain ownership of any data you upload. We claim no rights to your business data.

You may not reproduce, resell, or redistribute the Service or its outputs without written permission.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• Outputs are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose
• The Service will be available without interruption or error
• Analysis results constitute professional financial, accounting, or business advice

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, YieldSentinel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to losses resulting from business decisions made based on Service outputs.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, Canada.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
